General description
This minimal house was conceived as a sole flexible space. A tube shaped form connects the green plaza across the street with the expansion at the back. This space is conformed by the wrap of 3 faces which have the same constant width and thickness. The sailor brick planes have a variable transparency due to its different conformation. The whole building is modulated by brick size units. The surrounding cover touches the floor on its wider and more permeable face, and on the opposite one it lies over a lineal concrete platform.
Interior-Exterior link
Each of the 3 faces are generated according to a different interior-exterior relationship: over the northeast side it has a series of supporting walls that make the entry of light and a views of the sky possible; the ceiling is a solid, continuous brick plane; and reaching the northwest side of the building, we can discover an alternate string of views to the woods.
The volume reaches the neighbor’s property by building a second volume. This one is smaller and contains the kitchen, laundry and bath rooms. This is done to create an independence from the principal space.
