Description

Located on Quesnel street in the Petite-Bourgogne district, this former duplex was renovated for the contemporary taste and transformed in a one family dwelling. The ground floor is essentially a large open area, subdivided in servant volumes for WC, walk-in, office and pantry. On the upper floor, despite the existant supporting structure and walls kept, four rooms has been created, including one master bedroom with a private bathroom.

In this case the last bricklaying was in a perfect shape. The firm didn’t have to destroy or replace it, they just removed some of the bricks to enable some new contemporary windows, bringing more natural light. Brick was there, good and simple. Replace it would have been a waste of good material, a loose of money and an ecological inefficiency all at once.
