Being in touch with the surrounding landscape while protecting yourself from the pedestrian path bordering the house is the major challenge for this house.
The contrast of materials between the street and garden facade expresses this dialogue between closing and opening.
The living room also adapts to the gently sloping natural terrain and allows the living room to obtain a greater ceiling height…
Why brick?
The choice of brick was imposed for the wall protecting the house on the front facade. The material was chosen for its durability and for its texture, alternating rough and smooth surfaces. These variations allow light to be absorbed or reflected, depending on the time of day. The slight variations in color form a harmonious shade and make the wall more lively and attractive.
